7-12-2016 - The Lake County Sheriff’s Department Re-Entry Program is seeking interns to work with our Department. During this internship, students will learn more about the services provided by the Re-Entry program to assist inmates with a successful transition back into society. Listed below are some of the services the Re-Entry program provides.
· Case Management
· Referral Linkage
· Court Appearances with Inmates
· Working with Medical and Mental Health Teams for Placement after Release
· Grant Research and Writing to Expand the Program

6-27-2016 - On June 27, 2016 Sheriff John Buncich was presented with the Patriotic Employer Award for his continued support of military personnel. Army National Guard Specialist Ta’Ronda Ferguson, who also serves as a Corrections Officer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, nominated Sheriff Buncich for this award.
