COMMUNITY WORKFORCE PROGRAM

The Lake County Sheriff's Department is pleased to offer the Community Workforce Program.  This program allows non-violent inmates to volunteer their time and work in the community (know as the Inmate Road Crew).  The inmates are transported and are under constant watch by Lake County Sheriff's Officers.

The Officers in charge of this program thoroughly check each inmate's background before they start working on the Workforce.  Each inmate must have a non-violent history to qualify for this program.

The Lake County Sheriff's Community Workforce Program was designed to assist Cities and Community-based organizations within Lake County with lawn mowing, trash removal from lots and roadways, trimming of bushes, picking up of tree limbs, miscellaneous spruce-ups, etc. in communities throughout Lake County.  The inmates work as a team and through this program it helps build up their self-esteem by making them feel good about assisting and giving back to their community and the citizens that reside there.

If you would like the Lake County Sheriff's Workforce to come and assist in your community or help your community-based organization, please download and complete the work request form below.
