MARK PUREVICH, JAIL ADMINISTRATOR
Mark has been working at the Lake County Sheriff’s Division under Sheriff John Buncich since 2011.
He is currently the Jail Administrator involved with all the day-to day activities with Correctional Officers, Civilian Staff, and inmates that are being held at the jail.
During his working career in Lake County he has had the opportunity to work on the following federal programs. HIDTA, a law enforcement grant as the fiduciary manager, EECBG, an energy efficiency grant as the administrator for Lake County, and DOJSA with the Lake County Jail as the Compliance Manager for the Sheriff’s Department.
Mark has more than 20 years of civic participation in the community. Neighborhood Crime Watchers, Park Board, BZA, Transportation and Development, Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners, and Lake County Economic Development Commission.
His undergraduate studies were from Roosevelt University and graduated studies were at Indiana University Northwest, additional NIC on-site and off-site training courses for jail correctional Management and attended the FBI citizens academy.
