NIECEY GORE, ASSISTANT WARDEN

NIECEY, was born in Gary, IN. she is a product of the Gary Public School System, and a 1981 graduate of Gary Roosevelt. She attended Purdue University West Lafayette, IN.  Assistant Warden Niecey Gore began her career with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department in 1989.

In 2000, Gore achieved the rank of Sergeant. During her tenure with the Lake County Corrections Division, she has held several positions, which includes Correctional Training Officer Supervisor, Sgt. of Jail Classification, Deputy Warden of Personnel, and Deputy Warden of Security of the Lake County Jail.

In 2006, Assistant Warden Gore, was appointed as the Director of the Female Work Release Program. She is a member of the Lake County Corrections Honor Guard, and a past recipient of the Woodrow S. Barnes Service Award for outstanding service as a Lake County Correctional Officer. 

In June of 2016 she was appointed to her current position of Assistant Warden of the Lake County Jail.

She is a member of the Christ Baptist Church. She is a proud mother of one daughter and “Nana” to one granddaughter.
